For the past 10 years, we have been participating providers with Delta Dental, in part because of the requests from many of you. We wanted to accommodate your insurance preferences and make your dental care as accessible as possible.
However, we must be candid about the challenges we have faced during this time. The past few years have brought unforeseen challenges including the impact of the pandemic and the rising cost of overhead. Despite our ongoing efforts to negotiate with Delta Dental, they have not shown a willingness to increase reimbursement rates for the services we provide. This has made it increasingly difficult for us to continue offering the high-quality dental care that you deserve.
Therefore, with a heavy heart but a strong commitment to maintaining the excellence of our dental care, we have made the difficult decision to become an out-of-network provider with Delta Dental. This change will be effective as of May 15, 2024.
We want to reassure you that this change does not mean we will no longer accept patients with Delta Dental insurance. On the contrary, we will continue to welcome you into our office with open arms and will still process your claims, however the payment of benefits will be different as we will be an out of network provider.
We understand that this transition may raise questions, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Our team is available to assist you with any inquiries, help you understand your options, and ensure that your dental care remains as smooth and convenient as possible.
